Countdown events, photos, and widget settings are stored locally on your device and shared with the app’s extensions through app-group storage. This is not an iCloud sync service. Calendar access is requested when you import events; photo and notification permissions support the features you choose.

Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. The app checks verified transactions to unlock or restore Premium. PostHog and Sideband receive usage events to help us understand app use; Sideband also supports in-app feedback prompts.

When you contact support, this website stores your name, email, message, and browser user-agent so we can respond. The site uses a session cookie for the support form and a preference cookie if you choose a language. We do not use support messages for marketing or sell personal information. The app has no ads.

Countdown is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. For privacy questions or requests concerning support data, contact [email protected].

Sharing uploads a copy of your countdown settings, photos, and preview to our servers and Cloudflare R2. Anyone with the link can view and import it. Copies remain until removed using the creator’s deletion credential or through support. Unpublished uploads expire after 24 hours and are cleaned up periodically. We retain content reports for investigation. Removing a link cannot erase copies already downloaded or cached by recipients or messaging services.
