Countdown Share a countdown your friend can save in the app
Send a concert or weekend-away countdown as a link, not just a picture. Your friend can save a copy with the shared photos and style, then edit it in Countdown.
Requires iOS 26 or later. Use the latest Countdown version; button names and placement can vary. Images are product examples, not screenshots of the setup steps.
1. Send the countdown link
Open your saved event in Countdown and use sharing to send its link through Messages or another app. Check the photos and date before sending. An exported picture alone does not give the recipient a countdown to save. Saving a friend's shared countdown is available in the released 2.1.2 app; use the latest version.
2. Open the page, then save in Countdown
On an iPhone, open the shared website link. Tap Open in Countdown on the shared page to open the draft in the app, then review it and save it. You can then edit your own copy and select it in a widget. Opening a link does not automatically save an event or grant Premium.
3. If the app is not installed yet
Download Countdown from the App Store on an iPhone running iOS 26 or later. After installing, return to the original website share page and select Open in Countdown again. Installing or tapping Open in the App Store does not carry the shared countdown into the app. If a fallback page appears, use Return to the website and retry from there.
Copies, privacy, and paid limits
This is a saved copy, not a jointly edited or synced event. Later edits need a new share link. Anyone with the link can view and import the shared photos and settings, so avoid private details; removing the link cannot erase downloaded copies. Free includes sharing and up to three saved events, including imported ones, without ads. Lifetime Premium adds unlimited events, premium customization, and watermark-free sharing for one payment. Imported paid options remain subject to the recipient's Premium access.
